Pharmacy education is divided into three types so that students can choose what really suits them best when studying pharmacy. There are pharmacy colleges and universities that offer two types and there are also those that are concentrated only in one school type like the alternative system.

Traditional school type

This is the dominant type in a pharmacy school. Traditional pharmacy schools are the typical institutions you can find anywhere in the world. They are using the oldest educational system which they call traditional schools. This is the usual day and afternoon class schools. The annual highest enrolment belongs to this type and almost 75 percent of the enrolees every year are enrolled in traditional schools.

Onsite or boarding school type

This is the so-called alternative school from the traditional pharmacy or pharmacy tech school you can find in the US in and other progressive countries of the world. Many of the international students choose boarding school type so they won�t have problems looking for dorms especially in their first years in college. Students have to choose weekly, monthly or full boarding and the board and lodging fees differ from the kind of services and school amenities the student uses.

Online pharmacy school

There are now big colleges and universities in the US which opened online pharmacy schools to accommodate growing demand for online enrolees. The online education is another type of education in which students have to enrol online and have classes online too. This means they will not be able to see their classmates and professors in the flesh but only through the information superhighway.
