We will now describe some courses that you can expect on one of the interior design schools, or on the colleges and universities which offer inter design programs.

Interior spaces - to alter or manipulate these spaces to form stimulating and functional areas where a person can work, live, or play.

Drawing, drafting, and perspective – this course is to teach you how to draw, draft and see the perspective. This course is important, because you need to be able to draw what you are designing.

History of art and the history of interiors – you will learn to recognize and to use the styles and designs selectively that have been used in previous years and in previous centuries.

Form and space – this is a training to perceive some of the ways how a form or space can influence the vision of people on their environment and how to use the things in it.

Properties of materials – the student learn how to hold weight or how to hold paint, but also the temperatures at which the properties and materials burn, the gases they release when they burn, whether they reflect or absorb sound, and more.

Concept presentation – this course is very useful, because you need to use oral descriptions and written proposals to persuade your clients about your visual ideas. You need to convince them that you have the best options.
