Public Schools Career Opportunities

Public Schools Career Opportunities

Find Public Schools in Your Area...

There are many career opportunities that are waiting for graduates in public schools, colleges and universities in the US as well as in other countries of the world. The career opportunities also vary depending on the kind of educational program students choose during their studies. Below are some of the major career opportunities after attending public schools.

Academe

Graduates in public colleges and universities in the United States and in other countries of the world can work in schools as professors, supervisors, principals, deans of the department, presidents of the college, administration and all other jobs available in the schools as long as they qualify. While it may be true that the educational programs in public schools are only limited to education, business management, commerce, vocational and technical courses, the career opportunities are still a lot. Career opportunities in colleges and universities are high if professionals have master’s or doctorate degrees.

Government offices

Many of the graduates in public colleges and universities are working in government-run offices such as the Bureau of mines, health, education, environment, sanitation, engineering, health centres, hospitals, clinics, and all other government agencies. The salaries in government may not be as big as in corporate companies, but the security of tenure is high. Career opportunities in government are high if professionals have master’s or doctorate degrees.

Private companies

People who are not lucky to work in government also find their rightful place in private companies, industrial plants, manufacturing plants, airlines, hotels, restaurants, electric companies, shipping companies, manufacturing companies and many more private companies available. Career opportunities in private companies are high if the applicant has high educational background on the areas he is interested to apply to.
