Private Schools Life
Find Private Schools in Your Area...
Students that are enrolled in private schools have different experiences according to the type of schools – either in a private boarding school, in normal private high schools or in specialized training schools for people with special skills such as singing, dancing, cooking, etc. Although their purposes of acquiring good education are the same, they differ in the various educational approaches the schools implement.
The following are different kinds of private school life experienced by students as they enrol in these types of schools. As a student planning to enrol in the next year you should carefully read this article.
Traditional private school
In a traditional private school, students enter classes daytime and afternoon. The student’s life in this kind of school is devoted to academic studies - although there are some extra-curricular activities. Students undergo four kinds of usual examinations including prelims, mid-term, semi-final and final examination.
Boarding school life
In a boarding school, a student has to choose packages such as weekly, monthly, or yearly boarding. The rates vary depending on the kind of boarding schools. There are boarding schools that offer much higher rates because they have better school facilities. A yearly boarding program allows students to have a board and lodging package. Students live in dorms and student villages until the school year ends. However, they can also go home when they feel like going home.
Religious private schools
In a religious private school, students also learn about living a religious life. There are church services as well as bible-sharing programs so that students can understand the purposes of their lives as well as living in God’s word and guidance. There are, however, some catholic schools that are not strictly run by nuns and priests since they are now profit oriented schools despite of religious background.
Private schools for special people
In private schools run by non-government organization (NGOs) the school system is a type of boarding school where people with difficulties such as blind, deaf and mute or other people with special concerns stay in the school. They are given free board and lodging for the period they are beneficiaries of the program.
