The Copper Canyon Academy which a therapeutic boarding educational learning institutes for the girls that been located in Rimrock, Ariz will be competing to the Shakespeare Competition this coming Oct. 9 to 10 on the Cedar City with their six students representatives. This competition will now be held on the conjunction together in Utah Shakepearean Festival. With that, the girls will now be performing the scene from Shakespeare’s that includes Two Gentlemen in Verona and the monologues of The Merchant of Venice and King Henry VI Part 1. The performances that will be held in Southern Utah University will now be stage for about three times just front of these three different panels of these judges. As a result, this will be considered as its third year that learners from this Copper Canyon had already completed for its 33 year old competition. This Shakespeare Competition had already drawn about thousands of its middle and high school learners from the different educational learning institutes both public and private schools around the nation. Often times, this copper canyon girls are already competing upon performing arts schools that devotedly got an essential amount for its resources towards drama programs.

According to Ken Buxton who is the current academic director of this Copper Canyon that this girls might be stepping up of an area that they had not before and as a result they will be getting a solid feeling towards satisfaction. With that, Buxton is now preparing these girls towards their scenes that includes drawing its own experiences directing on the Shakespearean plays and even accompanies them on its four day trip. Upon this competition, performers are already been graded towards their presentation, character, voice, proper text usage, the knowledge of its Shakespeare and its plays. According to Buxton that they will ensure that this girls knows about this entire play so that they can able to portray their characters even better. This copper canyon learners that been selected in order to represent for the competition were basing on its background and interest.

Aside of that, the Copper Canyon is also taking part towards residential classroom educational program in Washington D.C. In this program, it allows crossing on boundaries that is just between on its clinical and even so called academic factors of its schools that is already been charge upon organizing the Copper Canyon’s Presidential Classroom trip. It entirely educates the students due to the mere fact that their trip will allow to provide a unique combination for academics, self awareness, and personality building. Students will be able to gain leadership skills, and meet students from other nations. With that learners will now be able to participate of role playing exercises, joining some briefing in the State Department, writing on some proposals, sitting on floor for Congress and even visiting the Pentagon and World Bank. The participants of this presidential classroom will be able to join the session and even classes. Aside of that, they will also be attending one hour group therapy session together its educators in order to provide guidance, protected or secure from few distractions, and assessing for treatment programs. The students that will be selected to participate this Presidential Classroom was entirely been based on the parents permission, approval from treatment team and therapist, solid graders, how long they will be in the Copper Canyon and to its ages. Those girls that been chosen in order to prepare for this six week trip before they will leave on are both in academic and clinical. So, in the end of long week program, the girls are given diploma and eventually become Presidential Classroom scholar.
